Three Miscellaneous Cards

Yes, I make cards even when there isn't a challenge or a sketch to follow. :) Well, technically, there were a few sketches but I just didn't get these cards made in time :/

First there is a birthday card I made for my cousin to give out.
Second, here are two baby cards I made,

I love the playful simplicity of this one. :)

This one seems like its missing something, but I don't know what else to put on it. I'm not sure if I like it or not. :/

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #37

Here is my card for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #37

As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to try this pyramid card. I don't think it's too shabby for my first time. :) The yellow flower is handmade very simply. Just fold a ribbon in half, stitch it together, and pull the ends together to scrunch it. Easy-peasy.

"Easter" Card

Well, as promised, here is the first of many posts this morning. This is a card I made for the Vive La Verve March Challenge on the Splitcoaststampers forum.

First off, here's the sketch:

And here's my card:
The ribbon flower is handmade and I got the idea off of this blog. Thanks Jenni! The stamps are all new Inkadinkado stamps. The scalloped edge is curtesy of my new punch! :) So excited to use it more.

I am also entering this card in the Shabby Tea Room Week #52 Challenge (I know it's not an Irish card but it has a bit of green) as well as the Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge #10.

New Cards Coming Soon!!

I am very annoyed with myself for not posting regularly like I should. I do have some new cards to share; I just need to remember to take them off my camera and put them on the computer. I have recently invested in a Cuttlebug and a scalloped edge puncher. The Cuttlebug is a dream come true, but the paper puncher not so much :/ I think I just need to get the hang of it. I'll try to post again tomorrow with at least some of my newest stuff. Thanks for sticking around!

Get Sketchy Challenge #75

I was on a scrapping high last night so I got a good head start on this sketch! :)  Here is my entry for Get Sketchy Challenge #75

Not exactly the card I had in mind, but I suppose it turned out okay. I should have made the card itself smaller, but of course, I didn't think of that until I had everything on it! Really like the colors though! I'll probably use them again! :)

Viva La Verve! Week 4

Lol! Okay, I was on a reeeeeeaaaalllly big roll last night!! I was making cards for three hours straight! :)

Here's my entry for Vive La Verve! Week 4

This is definitely not one of my favorite cards :/ I handstitched the seam with needle and thread. I would NOT recommend this method! lol Very time consuming and a pain in the neck! I traced over the stitched with gold glitter glue.

Viva La Verve! Week 3

Check out Verve Challenges on Splitcoaststampers forum!

Here's my card for Week 3 (I skipped week 2 shhhhh!)

The flower is called a folded fan flower and is really easy to make. The background flowers were stamped on plain gray cardstock. You might not be able to see from the photo but one flower in each row is stamped silver instead of black. I made the little envelope out of a square of yellow cardstock. This one was probably folded five or six times before I was happy with it. :)
